The notes from the nose continue in the mouth, and after every sip you are left with a full flavor experience. The acidity is nicely integrated into the wine so that it doesn't dominate, which is how Grande Cuvée should be if you ask me. If you have the moderation to save some of the bottle for the next day, the notes of smoke and flint emerge even more the day after, and more Burgundian notes are added. Speaking of which, you can easily enjoy Edition 169 in a burgundy glass – it just unfolds the wine even more. The good thing about Krug Grande Cuvée is that it is a champagne that stimulates everyone, whether you are a novice or an expert in the bubbly universe of Champagne. That in itself is impressive.
