This vintage Champagne, comming from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims region, showcases the elegance and complexity characteristic of Paul Bara's wines.
The nose reveals aromas of chalk, hazelnut, acacia honey, pruned almond, white peach, and lychee. With a second whiff, citrus notes emerge and pineapple along with mirabelle plum and a hint of candied lemon zest.
On the palate, flavors of roses, strawberries and grapefruit are prominent, complemented by a subtle note of chalk. The finish is superbly mineral with a fine touch of salinity.
What is Special Club?
Special Club Champagne, also known as the Club de Trésors or Club of Treasures, represents the best classification for grower Champagnes. This club was established back in 1971 as the Club de Viticulteurs Champenois with the purpose of evaluating and recognizing exceptional quality among specific Champagne growers. The small producers worked together to produce a specially made glass bottle for their best vintages. And they only choose their best vintages to be put in Special Club bottles.
