Special Club Book
Read and learn about the producers who together created the Special Club. What makes each of them unique, their individual DNA, and their terroir. The book is about “LE CLUB – Trésors de Champagne depuis 1971” and the 25 producers behind it. It brings you closer to both the people, the vineyards, and the philosophy behind some of Champagne’s most interesting bottles.
It explores terroir, grapes, winemaking, and the history of Champagne, but is written in a way that both enthusiasts and more casual readers can enjoy. Along the way, there are plenty of explanations, maps, and details that give a deeper understanding of why champagne can taste so different.

What is Special Club?
Special Club Champagne, also known as the Club de Trésors or Club of Treasures, represents the best classification for grower Champagnes. This club was established back in 1971 as the Club de Viticulteurs Champenois with the purpose of evaluating and recognizing exceptional quality among specific Champagne growers. The small producers worked together to produce a specially made glass bottle for their best vintages. And they only choose their best vintages to be put in Special Club bottles.
