This champagne is made from declassified grapes that were not included in their sister wine, Salon - one of the most prestigious champagne houses. Salon is only made in the best vintages, which has only been 43 times since 1921! All the other years when the legendary and rare cult champagne Salon is not made, the grapes are used to make Delamotte. That means that the grapes come from the same fields that supply the legendary Salon Champagne.
Delamotte is made from 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier and has been left on its lees for 36 months, which is why the complexity is brilliant. A light dosage also makes it extremely suitable for drinking as an aperitif or light starters
