About the bottle. It is made from 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Meunier which comes from vines which are around 50 years old. The malolactic fermentation is in barrels. It is stored in oak barrels for 8 months. Typically stored for a minimum of 12 years in the cellar in the bottles before release
What is Special Club?
Special Club Champagne, also known as the Club de Trésors or Club of Treasures, represents the best classification for grower Champagnes. This club was established back in 1971 as the Club de Viticulteurs Champenois with the purpose of evaluating and recognizing exceptional quality among specific Champagne growers. The small producers worked together to produce a specially made glass bottle for their best vintages. And they only choose their best vintages to be put in Special Club bottles.
