2015 is the fourth vintage of Cristal to be created from 100% bio-dynamically farmed grapes.
The weather in 2015 left a lasting impression as it followed a classic growth cycle. The winter was notably mild, transitioning into a diverse spring marked by fluctuations, including a period of freezing temperatures succeeded by intense heat. As June arrived, the vines experienced full bloom under the embrace of abundant sunshine and dry conditions. Throughout the glorious summer that ensued, there was an abundance of sunlight with minimal rainfall.
The ripening process of the esteemed Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays received a significant boost towards the end of August, when long-awaited rainfall finally graced the vineyards. As the crops were meticulously harvested in mid-September, under the cool autumnal skies, the resulting wines embodied elegance, freshness, and a delightful fruitiness. These wines can rightfully be labeled as true "classics," deserving of recognition and admiration.
